Retrofit BMW i3 Adaptive LED Headlight with E-sys

Installing 552 “Adaptive LED Headlight” on BMW i3 I01 LCI instead of 5A2 “LED headlight” or 5A4 “LED headlight with extended scopes”. This retrofit does not require additional wiring, re-pinning or somewhat else.

Check that you have the right headlights for your vehicle: left-hand drive (LHD) or right-hand drive (RHD). Double check ECUs installed in headlights. Count and check the position of each pin in the connector. For SA 552 Adaptive LED Headlight on LCI I01 car ECU must be FLE2MAX (HWEL: 2B8F 03.01.00), P/N: 63 11 8 494 844.*

Requirements:
— Windows PC/laptop/tablet,
— ENET (or VXDIAG VCX SE BMW),
— E-Sys,
— PSdZData lite or full.
NOTE: We don’t provide E-Sys and PSdZData programs.

Installing:
0. Connect Adaptive LED Headlights to a car.
1. Connect PC to a car via ENET (or VCX SE) and run E-Sys (launcher not required) with PSdZData lite or full. Use the “Coding” section in E-Sys.
2. Remove from FA option 5A2 “LED headlight” or 5A4 “LED headlight with extended scopes” (if present).
3. Add to FA option 552. This FA can be written to VCM.
4. You may want to remove option 8S4 “Decoding, variable light distribution” from FA (if present).
5. Code BDC_BODY [40].
6. If ECE headlights installed on US car change “Typschlussel” value to ECE in FA and vice versa. Pass this step if not.
7. Code FLE [43] and FLE [44].
8. Check all lights manually or via ISTA.
