Problem Description
A user encountered an issue where the VXDIAG VCX SE Honda device and HDS 3.105.012 software could read vehicle information (e.g., VIN) but failed to communicate with modules or perform diagnostics on a 2008 Honda Civic. The problem persisted even after trying a different computer (Windows 10).
Solution
After remote diagnostics by VXDIAG engineers, it was determined that the issue was related to software permissions. The HDS software required administrative privileges to function correctly.
Run HDS Software as Administrator.
Select “VXDIAG” as the diagnostic device in connection settings.
