They both use 3rd party drivers. They both allow adding extra software license.

VXDIAG VCX SE Benz supports WiFi, WLAN and Donet remote connection, Rlink only connects via USB.

They use different software (HDD/SSD). Rlink X7 Benz xentry software is newer. Rlink X7 also does Mercedes W447.

Works both in C6 mode for XDOS and in J2534 mode for Passthru. Rlink X7 works with XDOS openshell only. 

VCX SE is the easiest to set up and best for the WiFi. Works good via WiFi connection in C6 mode.

VCX SE No boot time, Rlink X7 need to register device to their platform before using. 

They both work better on Mercedes cars, no ideal for trucks.

VCX SE does not support CAN FD protocol, Rlink X7 does.
